Ratel Group Limited ("Ratel" or "the Company") is listed on the main board of the Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX:RTG) and is a mining exploration company focused on developing gold and copper deposits in Africa.

The Company is earning a 51% interest in the Segilola Gold Project in Nigeria, the largest undeveloped gold resource identified in Nigeria and holds a 51% interest in the Mkushi Copper Project in Zambia.

At the Segilola Gold Project, Ratel has identified a maiden NI 43-101 compliant indicated resource of 521,814 ounces of gold contained in 3,620,386 tonnes at a grade of 4.5g/t and an inferred resource of 96,445 ounces of gold contained in 747,590 tonnes at a grade of 4g/t from just the first pass 11,000m drill program.

Ratel has an experienced management team, and is further supported by the management team of CGA Mining Limited (TSX:CGA, ASX:CGX), a 19% shareholder in the Company. CGA is a member of both the S&P/TSX Global Gold and Global Mining Indices.

Ratel was listed on the TSX on 4 January 2011. On 7 January 2011, Ratel successfully completed the spin-out reorganization of its African property interests from Ratel Gold Limited (TSX: RTL) now renamed St. Augustine Gold and Copper Limited (SAU). Pursuant to the terms of the spin-out reorganization, each shareholder of Ratel Gold Limited was issued five common shares in the capital of Ratel for every nine common shares of Ratel Gold Limited held on the share distribution record date of January 6, 2011. As part of the spin-out reorganization, Ratel also undertook a capital raising by way of subscription receipts to fund its future activities and to satisfy TSX original listing requirements. The subscription receipts issued in connection with the spin-out financing automatically converted to common shares of the Company as part of the spin-out reorganization, and 100,000,000 common shares of Ratel were issued in connection therewith, raising gross proceeds of C$10,000,000.
